№ 003, How it works

From broken to fixed, in four steps.

1

Tell me what's broken.

WhatsApp me a description, a link, a screenshot. The rougher the better, I don't need a spec.

2

I confirm I can fix it.

Same day, usually within the hour. If it's outside scope I'll tell you straight, no fee.

3

I fix it, inside 24 hours.

Tested on mobile and desktop. I send you a short video of it working before I invoice.

4

You pay, then review.

£99 invoice once you're happy. All I ask after is an honest Trustpilot review, good or bad.

№ 005, The first one

My first Fix client left a review. Five stars.

The Games Club came to me with broken forms, broken reCAPTCHA, and a map that wouldn't load. Fixed, tested, reviewed. Then when their own settings broke the forms again later, I stepped back in, no fuss, no extra fee. This is what "the Fix" actually looks like.

“A very capable, proactive, and reliable provider. Highly recommended.

We recently worked with Jamie at BuiltSmarter to resolve several issues on our website, and the results were excellent.

They quickly identified and fixed problems with our non-functioning submission forms, ensuring everything worked reliably again. They also corrected the reCAPTCHA integration, which had been causing disruptions.

On top of that, they went beyond the initial brief by fixing an embedded Google Map exactly as requested. What really stood out was their initiative in improving the overall form submission experience.

When a later settings change on our side unexpectedly broke the form submissions again, they were quick to step back in and resolve the issue without fuss. That level of follow-up support made a big difference.

№ 007, Common questions

You probably want to know.

i. Is it really £99 per fix, no matter what? +
Yes. £99 per fix, whether it takes me twenty minutes or most of a working day. If you've got multiple things broken, the £179 Tidy-up is better value, that's a batch of fixes in one go. If a fix is genuinely out of scope (a full rebuild, new pages, new features), I'll tell you straight up front, no fee.
ii. What counts as "out of scope"? +
The Fix service is for fixing things that are broken, not building new things. So a broken form, yes. A brand new booking system, no, that's a build. Rule of thumb, if the thing was working once and isn't now, or if it was supposed to work and doesn't, it's a fix.
iii. What platforms can you fix? +
WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, hand-coded sites, and most things in between. If yours isn't one of these, WhatsApp me the URL and I'll tell you straight whether I can fix it.
iv. What if you can't actually fix it? +
Then you don't pay, simple as that. I won't charge you for a job I couldn't finish. I'll tell you within the first hour whether it's doable. If I find a roadblock mid-way, I'll flag it before I waste your time.
v. Do I really only pay after? +
Yes. I send you a video showing the fix working, you confirm you're happy, I invoice, you pay. No deposits, no up-front fees, nothing until it's done. This is why I ask for an honest review after, it's the only protection I've got, and it's the only protection I want.
vi. What about the review? What if I don't leave one? +
Nothing bad happens, I'd just appreciate it. This is a new service and reviews are how I grow it, so an honest one (good or bad) is the only thing I really ask for. If the work wasn't good enough for a five-star review, I'd rather know in public so I can do better.
vii. What if the same thing breaks again later? +
If my fix didn't hold, I'll redo it, no charge. If something breaks later because of a change on your end (like The Games Club's settings change), that's a new fix, but usually a quick one. I don't gouge people on follow-ups.
viii. Can I just book you for ongoing maintenance? +
I deliberately don't sell retainers. The whole point of this service is you pay only when you actually need me, not every month whether you do or not. If you find yourself needing five fixes a month, something bigger is wrong and we should talk about a rebuild instead.

Ready when you are.

Send me a WhatsApp with what's broken, screenshot, link, rough description, whatever. I'll reply the same day and tell you whether I can fix it, and when.
